Annapurna Mini Circuit Trek

Annapurna Mini Circuit Trekking is short optional trial of Annapurna circuit trekking. The trek is cautiously planned for those trekkers who have limited time and still have desire to explore the Annapurna Circuit throughout the most popular thorong-la pass, mostly we follow the route of the Annapurna Circuit and we will take flight from to Pokhara from Jomsom.

This trekking offers you the great mixture of low land farming villages, alpine fields, spectacular scenery and high snow covered mountains. The Annapurna Mini Circuit also provides enough chance to explore various cultures deserved by cultural groups of Nepal Himalaya. 

We start the Mini Annapurna Circuit Trekking from Besi Sahar, a small town of Lamjung District and follows Marshyangdi River and valley to Manang. Then you cross the Throngla Pass (5416 m), highest pass in Nepal and visit the Muktinath Temple (God of Nirvana) as well as Buddhist monastery at Muktinath. After spending a night at pilgrims place, you follow the Kali Gandaki River and the valley then fly out from Jomsom.

Outline Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu Valley & trip preparation.

Day 03: Drive to Besisahar (6-7hours), and two hours trek to Bhulbule 820m.

Day 04: Trek to Ghermu Phant 1136m. [5-6 hours].

Day 05: Trek to Dharapani, 1946m. [6-7 hours].

Day 06: Trek to Chame, 2800m [5-6 hours].

Day 07: Trek to Pisang 3200m. [5-6 hours].

Day 08: Trek to Manang 3540m. [5-6 hours].

Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka 4000m [4-5 hours].

Day 11: Trek to Phedi 4545m. [3-4 hours].

Day 12: Trek to Muktinath 3694m. [7-8 hours] by crossing the Thorung-La pass [5415m].

Day 13: Trek to Jomsom 2710m. [5 hours].

Day 14: Fly to Pokhara & further drive/flight to Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final Departure to the international airport.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

On your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport you will picked to the hotel by our airport representative. After your freshness we will have talk about your trekking plan in the hotel or our office. You will meet your guide also. You can ask your question about the trek. Overnight at hotel

Day 02: Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu Valley & trip preparation.

After your breakfast we will start sightseeing tour with our excellent tour guide. Including Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Monkey Temple (Swyambhunath Stupa), Kathmandu Durbar Squre, Patan Durbar Squre etc. In the tour you have to chances to learn historical, cultural and traditional background of Nepal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Besisahar (6-7hours), and two hours trek to Bhulbule 820m.

Today after having breakfast we start our trip to Besisahar by drive which takes about 6-7 hours. After that we trek to Bhulbhule & stay overnight there on tea house/guest hours.

Day 04: Trek to Ghermu Phant 1136m. [5-6 hours].

After having breakfast we start our trip towards Ghermu Phant, It takes about 5-6 hours. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Dharapani, 1946m. [6-7 hours].

Our today’s destination is Dharapani. After early breakfast we start our trip to Dharapani, it takes around 6-7 hours. Stay overnight at lodge in Dharapani.

Day 06: Trek to Chame, 2800m [5-6 hours].

After having breakfast, we start to walk from Dharapani to the today’s destination of Chame. We cross the forested trail and landslide route. We pass Bagarchhap, Timang and Koto village. During the trek in this trial we explore the Himalayan views of Mt. Annapurna, Lamjung Himal and the neighboring range. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Pisang 3200m. [5-6 hours].

After having the breakfast in same hotel we start our trip to Pisang. The trail goes throughout the forest and dramatic landscape, rocky hills and the views of the area of local plants. After crossing the suspension bridge, the Dhikur Pokhari and walking through the passive forest, we reach to Pisang. & overnight at Lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Manang 3540m. [5-6 hours].

Today we have two trekking routes, but we favor to walk through the upper trail and get the delightful panoramas. We move towards the Manang village, which follows the Tibetan Buddhist daily life. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 09: Acclimatization day in Manang, 3540m.

Today we explore around the Manang Vilage.

Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka 4000m [4-5 hours].

After having breakfast, we ascend during the Tangki Manang by crossing the watercourse. The altitude is getting higher which makes our walk difficult. The cattle grazing fields and forest are wonderful. We cross the small bridge over the GGhyanchang Khola and ascend continually to Yak Kharka. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 11: Trek to Phedi 4545m. [3-4 hours].

Thorung Phedi is located at 4545m altitude and an important place to the trekkers on the Annapurna Circuit route. It is a short distance, but the altitude trekking is demanding. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Muktinath 3694m. [7-8 hours] by crossing the Thorung-La pass [5415m].

Today is the huge day during this our trip to Annapurna Circuit trekking. We have to start our trek in the early morning and ascend to the Thorung Pass. The Thorung High camp is located at 5,416m. It is a challenging climb up to Thorong Pass (5416m) and we can explore the Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri and other white peaks from this pass. After feeling awesome, the long walk leads us to the religiously important place of Muktinath. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 13: Trek to Jomsom 2710m. [5 hours].

In the morning we explore the Muktinath Temple of the lord Vishnu. There are water spouts channeled for the stream organization over the temple. After visit the temple we trek to Jomsom.

Day 14: Fly to Pokhara & further drive/flight to Kathmandu.

In the morning 35 minutes magnificent flight to Pokhara between gorge of the two huge Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range. And then we will go to Kathmandu. That takes 6-7 hours by bus and half an-hour by flight. In evening we will offer you farewell dinner with cultural shows in Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Final Departure to the international airport.

Team of Gold Mountain Nepal Treks say good-bye and takes you to the international airport to catch your flight back to your home with wishing you a nice journey.

Information of passport and visas

You must to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date of your trips.  You can easily get visas for Nepal from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or up on arrival in Kathmandu Airport (Tribhuwan International Airport). Nepalese visas cost is USD 25 for 15 days & USD 40 for 30 days. 

Information of money & credit card

In Nepal you have to pay 3.5 % credit card commission as per Nepal’s Bank rules, on your payable amount of the total cost.  So, please be positive that you bring some cash in USD to pay us. The same, for your extra expenses as well which are not included in our cost. We would like to request you not to change your money in the Airport expect your emergency case. You get the exchange rate is very low there. Our office well provides you the facility to exchange your money. Or, you can change from Money Changers or bank as well. Master Card, Visa Card, Paypal also accepted in major shopping center and in most of the tourist class hotels. 

Bring required personal/official document

We want to suggest that to bring some of the required documents like valid passport, 4 extra passport sized photographs (for trekking permits), your travel insurance, airline tickets and luggage tags. Visas can be obtained upon arrival at Kathmandu. For details information about the required official papers don't be hesitate to ask us. 

Case of flight delay

Flight by plane and helicopter are might be cancellations or delay cause of bad weather in remote areas. Some other times, operational complication may occur which is more possible to happen in Everest Region- Kathmandu – Lukla – Kathmandu flight, Annapurna region- Pokhara – Jomsom – Pokhara flight, Dolpa, Simikot , Jumla region etc. As these flights have some problem with fixed schedule, it is also suggested to carry extra money for food and accommodations. Trekking in the remote areas, especially during unusual season, you’re advised to keep extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating result. In case of delay in flight previous to trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to manage your accommodation and food costs by yourself. 

About your travel insurance

We request to all our valued clients to make and bring your complete travel insurance package. Your insurance must cover against medical, emergency evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation, natural calamity, lost of gears, theft or damage your baggage etc. 

Electricity Crisis Problem in Nepal

It is difficult to told you that Nepal has an electricity problem because Nepal is 2nd richest country in water resource but it is true Nepal still facing the problem. It means there is electricity off for some hours in day and night time. Most of the hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara and other cities are possible to have no battery backup. In that case Air condition may not work and, sometimes, TV and other electric utensils may not run. Some hotels have possible to run the TV and AC as well. But, only few of them are lies in this standard category.

So, be organized for this while you are traveling in Nepal.  For that situation, we suggested you to bring the flashlight with extra batteries. 

Clothing and Equipment for Traveling in Mountains of Nepal

Trekking in the Mountains require to arrangement of equipment as you have to find yourself comfortable at higher altitude of Mountains. The basic clothing items are listed here please notice that.

Personal Equipment

  • Down jacket or sweater.
  • Wind/Water proof jacket (opt).
  • Down vest and/or jacket (opt)
  • Gloves (2 pairs).
  • Sun hat or scarf.
  • Sunglasses with UV protection.
  • T-shirts minimum 2.
  • Underwear (3).
  • Hiking shorts (2).
  • Lightweight cotton long pants.
  • Light & Expedition weight thermal bottoms.
  • Wool pants.
  • Waterproof pants.
  • Thin, lightweight internal socks (4).
  • Thick, warm wool Trekking/Hiking socks (4).
  • Hiking boots with extra laces.
  • Camp shoes or sandals.

 Other Necessary Equipment

  • Sleeping bag at least rated to zero degrees F.
  • Head light with extra bulbs and batteries.
  • Basic First Aid Kit (Normal Medicine e.g. Sitamol, Diamox etc.)
  • Large plastic bags to keep dry inside items of trek bag.
  • Trekking Bag (approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches is OK).
  • Water bottles (2).
  • Toilet paper.
  • Small washable towel.

Can I buy/rent equipment in Kathmandu

Yes, you can do that but it is not actually required to spend large amount of your money to buy extra equipment and clothing earlier to your trip because most of the trekking equipment can be hired from Trekking shops within Kathmandu. Most of the gear is locally contrived. Some Chinese equipment are possible to be more expensive but qualitative. You can take Sleeping bag and down jacket easily on rent. Each item can be rented for less than USD 1 per day. You have to manage other items buying them yourself. Surely these items are more possible to be cheaper than those in your Country or hometown. We will display all the necessary equipment you need on the second day of your arrival. 

How to book my trip

First choose the trip which you want to do? Then contact us through mail or phone, email is more effective and clear as well, after getting your email or call we will process for your booking. To confirm your booking, we need 20% amount of your total amount the payment can be made throughout the Bank transfer, Credit card payment (Master/Visa Card) or through online money transfers also Western Unions, Money Gram or others. After we get the 20% amount your booking will be confirmed and you will get the official booking and payment receipt from us. The rest amount you can pay after arrival at our office or hotel.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking of Dec-2014

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

From 20th of December 2014 to 5th of January 2015 we went spent some gorgeous weeks trekking in the Annapurna region. First, we hiked to Poon Hill which rewarded us with a very nice sunrise. Then, we continued our trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). Both at the ABC and on the way to and from it, we were blessed with amazing sunsets and sunrises. We even saw monkeys and eagles. Views were spectacular and the weather was great.

The organization of the trek was immaculate. All transfers (Kathmandu airport – Hotel – Pokhara– Kathmandu Hotel – airport) were perfectly organized. In addition, both the guide and porter did a great job. They were very flexible and always agreed when we wanted to change the program. This allowed us to reach the ABC two days earlier than planned and gave us more time to visit additional places when going down. We also paid a visit to hot springs which was very nice. In sum, we recommend Gold Mountain Nepal Treks & Expedition as a reliable trekking agency which is very eager to comply with the customers’ wishes.

Everest Base Camp Trek - Oct-2014

I trekked with Gold Mountain Nepal Treks to Everest Base Camp in October-2014.
