Upper Dolpo Trekking
Upper Dolpo Trekking
The Upper Dolpo Trekking takes you beyond the land of Himalayas. The land is scattered full of temples, monasteries & gompas. This trekking region is located in the western part of the country. Though being still an untouched one, the region is equally popular for trekkers and adventure lovers.
Upper Dolpo Trekking will boost up your level of enthusiasm. It offers you superb panoramic views of Nepalese mountain peaks such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Kanjirowa and several others. The major attraction of this trek is that to gain access to the upper region of Dolpo, you need to go through all the major places of the region situated in the lower altitudes. This means that along with exploration of the upper attractions of the region, you also get to view the hidden treasures of the lower region as complementary.
Remote but rich in culture villages located at 4,300 meters in the upper Dolpo will let you gain knowledge that were completely unknown to you. There exists people who have preserved the rich kind of cultures and traditions till date. Trekkers who pass through these areas are highly enthused by the remoteness, stunning views of mountain peaks and neighborly friendly local inhabitants. In short, we can say that trekking in Upper Dolpo will take you far away to the land beyond expectations.

Electricity Crisis Problem in Nepal
It is difficult to told you that Nepal has an electricity problem because Nepal is 2nd richest country in water resource but it is true Nepal still facing the problem. It means there is electricity off for some hours in day and night time. Most of the hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara and other cities are possible to have no battery backup. In that case Air condition may not work and, sometimes, TV and other electric utensils may not run. Some hotels have possible to run the TV and AC as well. But, only few of them are lies in this standard category.
So, be organized for this while you are traveling in Nepal. For that situation, we suggested you to bring the flashlight with extra batteries.

Can I buy/rent equipment in Kathmandu
Yes, you can do that but it is not actually required to spend large amount of your money to buy extra equipment and clothing earlier to your trip because most of the trekking equipment can be hired from Trekking shops within Kathmandu. Most of the gear is locally contrived. Some Chinese equipment are possible to be more expensive but qualitative. You can take Sleeping bag and down jacket easily on rent. Each item can be rented for less than USD 1 per day. You have to manage other items buying them yourself. Surely these items are more possible to be cheaper than those in your Country or hometown. We will display all the necessary equipment you need on the second day of your arrival.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking of Dec-2014
From 20th of
December 2014 to 5th of January 2015 we went spent some gorgeous weeks trekking
in the Annapurna region. First, we hiked to Poon Hill which rewarded us with a
very nice sunrise. Then, we continued our trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp
(ABC). Both at the ABC and on the way to and from it, we were blessed with
amazing sunsets and sunrises. We even saw monkeys and eagles. Views were
spectacular and the weather was great.
The organization of
the trek was immaculate. All transfers (Kathmandu airport – Hotel – Pokhara–
Kathmandu Hotel – airport) were perfectly organized. In addition, both the
guide and porter did a great job. They were very flexible and always agreed
when we wanted to change the program. This allowed us to reach the ABC two days
earlier than planned and gave us more time to visit additional places when
going down. We also paid a visit to hot springs which was very nice. In sum, we
recommend "Green Nepal Tourism" as a reliable trekking agency which is very eager
to comply with the customers’ wishes.
Best regards,
Werner and Heidi
